Leader of the Pack

Coco had her first pack outing today, on the Adventure Pack hike with Rucksack.  The two of them LOVED playing with each other.  I'm coming to expect that Rucksack will find a stick to carry on every hike, as he did again today.  This time it was the biggest of all so far: about 5 feet long!  The rain didn't deter the pack for most of the hike, until I noticed Coco shivering on our return leg.  Young puppies like Coco, with their developing bodies and high surface area to mass ratio, aren't great at retaining heat and the rain was obviously starting to chill her so I scooped her up into my coat to help warm/dry her as we finished up the hike.  I towel-dried her and Rucksack at the car and they continued to play with one another in the back, which was great for getting Coco warmed up again.

I cancelled the Play Pack since the rain started coming down harder and in a snowy mixture, and the park will just be a huge mud puddle.  I'll stop by in the mid-afternoon to let Play Pack members out for a quick potty break at no charge today.
