Leader of the Pack

Rucksack hopped right into the packmobile on the first go this morning, without hesitation.  He and Mogul had a great time together.  The weather was looking pretty bad this morning but the sky started clearing up right when our hike began, and it got nicer and nicer through the morning.  Rucksack found another big stick to carry today, that I again borrowed as a walking stick for part of the hike.  Mogul stole the stick away from Rucksack for a moment, but then immediately dropped it and let him have it again; I guess he felt his point was made.  They had fun chasing each other around on the return leg of our trip.  Rucksack got a lot of briars caught on his legs.  They were tough to get out, with his long hair, but I did what I could.

Chelsea still had a bit of a limp at the park today, but she was able to run and play nonetheless.  She did lie down and just chill out more than usual, though.

I played alot of fetch with Rucksack; it's really great how he drops the ball right into my hand when I ask for it.  Rucksack also played with another black Labradoodle at the park named Lacy.

Mogul got in on chasing Rucksack with Lacy for a while, and took it easy the rest of the time.  He trotted through some mud puddles but resisted the urge to splash around and make a complete mess of himself (as he's done before); I was grateful for his inhibition.
