Adventure Pack

Coco and Rucksack ran the trail together today.  Rucksack was so excited to run with Coco that he occasionally let out yips of enthusiasm.  In the midst of their play, Coco managed to home in on a skunky spot along the trail and did her best to bring the smell along with her.  Roger Roger was less pushy with his packmates today and didn't nibble on anyone's ankles.  He found a stick to carry for a bit until Benny snatched it out of his jaws.  Milo walked along just behind me, stopping occasionally to sniff a bush, pee on it, and then catch up with a look of great satisfaction on his face.

Play Pack

Thompson met Keeyush today, a Malamute/German Shepherd mix who we often see at the park, and Keeyush was very happy to greet him.  She sat down in front of Thompson and licked at his face enthusiastically then lied down to let him give her a sniff.  Thompson obliged and seemed happy to have the attention but a little while later he decided all the face licking was getting to be a bit much and he conveyed that to Keeyush with a small growl.  Mamacita tried her hardest to get Benny to play with her by running up to him with a kick in her step and standing poised by him, waiting for him to respond with a move of his own - but Benny was less playful today than earlier in the week and just stood and watched mama without a reaction.  Stella had her second day out with the pack and spent the beginning of her visit sniffing all over the park.  She completely ignored a tennis ball I presented to her until later on after she was satisfied with her once-over of the scents throughout the park.  After that, she took great interest in the tennis ball for a brief spurt, chased it down and brought it back a couple times, and then started to just chase it and then leave it.  She hopped into the front seat in the packmobile a few times again today but she had no qualms with returning to the back with her packmates when told.
