Marley had a good time playing with some big dogs today. One was an Alaskan Malamute, the other two looked like Anatolian Shepherd mixes but I'm not sure. They were all probably 2-3 times her weight! But for what Marley lacks in size she more than makes up for in energy.
Chelsea hung out in the shade a lot of the time. She layed down under a table with Buzz for a while and they chewed and licked each other. They're so affectionate with one another, it's adorable. She spent some time wrestling with Marley today, too.
When we were heading toward the gate to leave, Chelsea and Marley were getting a little too intense in their play and I stepped in and had them both sit down and relax while I rested a hand on top of each of their heads (not petting, just laying it there). That calmed them down and they were perfectly well behaved the rest of the way. Sometimes the dogs get a little too worked up and they just need a calm and firm presence to intervene before they get out of hand. Chelsea and Marley love playing with each other; they just needed a reminder not to get too intense about it.
