The wind made for a chillier outing today than I expected.  Marley and Chelsea were full of energy today.  Chelsea did more running around than usual and found a big, fluffy, white Lab mix to play with.  She also met a little Rat Terrier mix with a bit of an attitude, but wasn't bothered by his growls - it just made her all the more curious about the little one.

Marley and Buzz teamed up in chasing a long-haired black dog named Stella around for a while.  Then they came over to where I was sitting, along with Chelsea, and they all chewed at each other.  It's interesting the way dogs seem to bond by lying down and gnawing on one another.  I think it's a sign of their comfort and trust in each other for them to take such a relaxed position in spite of feeling teeth on them.  There's still a bit of competition in it, though, as they're usually seeing who can fit who's mouth in their own without letting the other one do the same to them.  It's like the canine version of a thumb war.
