Mogul and Chelsea were great on the walk this morning as usual.  Mogul hung behind a little, while Chelsea likes to be right up by my side.  Mogul seems to especially like to scent mark forks in the road, which makes me wonder whether he's using those markings to keep his bearings.  It may just be my imagination...

At the park, Marley found a playmate in a shiba inu/border collie mix early on.  The other dog was shy at first but opened up and then went up to Marley every so often and gave a couple barks then danced around a little as if to say "come and get me!" - which she did!  That dog left after a while and Marley found a new playmate in a year-old white, speckled heeler/lab mix.  Once he and Marley met he followed her around for the rest of the time we were at the park.  His guardian said that it looked like his dog had fallen in love.  It was a cute dynamic.

Mogul and Chelsea had a lot of fun dancing around and wrestling with a brindle-coated dog that looked part pit bull.  Mogul tends to play mostly with Chelsea or to chase balls (returning them is another story, although we have had a few successful fetches recently) but he really had fun with the brindle dog.  That dog's guardian commented on Mogul's spin move, as he did it about 50 times while playing with her dog.  I actually noticed Marley do a similar spin a couple times today - I wonder if she's always done it or if she's learning it from him.

Chelsea made rounds to the other guardians there, finding the ones with treats and sniffing at their pockets.  She has quite a nose for food!  A little boy at the park was throwing a ball for her and she was very gentle with him.
