Adventure Pack

Rucksack really likes to chase Sputnik, and Sputnik really enjoys being chased.  They made so many laps around the bridge that runs over the stream we pass that I lost count.  Coco really knows how to cool off in a body of water.  She starts to lie down just until her whole belly has been submerged and then she pops back up to let the cool water evaporate off of her.  Benny was taking his time on the hike.  He rarely comes to a complete stop - as he used to do - but sometimes his pace while on leash was painfully slow.  I did my best to encourage him and it worked out alright.  When he was off leash on the way down, he of course had no issues keeping up with his packmates.

Play Pack

Isaac was a bundle of energy today.  He and Coco both played a lot of fetch.  Coco tried to keep up, but Isaac outran her and outlasted her.  For a little while, they each had their own balls but then one time Coco thought another dog was going to get to her ball first so she just let it go.  Later on, when I was throwing one ball for the both of them, I sometimes deliberately threw the ball high and short because Coco watches it more carefully in the air and was able to snag those, while Isaac was always first to the long throws.  Mama came over and joined in the fun briefly by running alongside her fetching packmates but her energy was spent long before Coco and Isaac were done.  Meanwhile, Benny was tuckered out from the morning's hike and spent the whole time lying in the shade except for when he reluctantly followed as we walked the perimeter of the park.
