Adventure Pack

We took a really easy pace today due to the heat.  We lingered for a long while by the stream at the trailhead while Sage lied down in the running water and Milo, Osito, and Rucksack all got their paws wet.  I was surprised that Osito led the way on our hike up - less surprised that he was the furthest back on our return trip down.  Milo is still not used to the Camelbak but I held it right to his mouth and got him to drink some.  Rucksack didn't bother with sticks today.

Play Pack

Sputnik and Mamacita hit it off during their first outing together.  Sputnik pawed at Mama and got her into a playful mood and then the two of them proceded to hop around each other and dart, dodge, and wrestle.  They were broken up a couple times by park regular Keeyush, who decided they couldn't have fun without her.  Later on, while I was playing some fetch with Oscar and Mama was resting in the shade, Sputnik had a good wrestle with another park regular named Buzz.  They pawed at each other and tried to tackle one another, all with a very playful and affectionate demeanor.

Oh my- I'm so embarrassed that my dog was a sheriff dog. It's a difficult thing to break up or otherwise deal with but it annoys the other dogs who are just trying to play. Sometimes three together works just fine but if one (Keeyush in this case) is jealous or two just really want to play together (Sputnik and Mamacita) the dogs aren't going to even try to figure out a way to make it work. Interestingly, I don't think Keeyush ever views those two as particular buddies.
