The Adventure Pack
Today, I paid more attention to keeping Coco in check by tapping her side when she started to pull ahead on the leash, which has proven far more effective than a tug on the leash. She spent almost the entire hike walking just behind me or at my side but not trying to get ahead. With Coco behaving herself so nicely, Rucksack followed the example and was also easier to handle in turn. Benny always takes up the rear and today was no exception. The only trouble was Osito, who is new to the hikes and is a big boy so getting him to maneuver with me can be a bit difficult if he has other ideas. We managed well, though, and I think he'll be a good hiker before very long.
The Play Pack
Milo and Mia went for a run together today and then wrestled around with one another for a bit. Mia also found a great playmate in a black Lab mix who was very playful and very sweet. Oscar wanted to join Mia and her friend but I drew his attention away since he was just barking at them and instead we played catch with some snowballs. Benny was in one of his more mellow moods today and didn't find any playmates - he just wandered from person to person to be pet and admired.
