The Adventure Pack
We started off the hike practicing on-leash behavior. The pups get especially excited when there's snow on the ground so it was a good opportunity to practice consistency. After a while, Benny and Isaac had some off-leash time to romp in the snow together. Rucksack and Sputnik had their turn after - although Sputnik got a bit too pushy with his packmate so he went back on the leash for the last leg of the hike. It took him a while to calm down but eventually he was behaving himself nicely again.
The Play Pack
Coco's been a bit short with other dogs when they come over to give her a sniff and say hello, so we walked around the park on leash and went up to as many dogs as possible to practice calmer greetings. After the first few, she got the idea and was much more pleasant with the rest of the dogs we went up to. The leash was loose virtually the entire time - I just used it because Coco tends to dodge and run when she's excited and then I can't address her behavior. Milo was in a playful mood today and ran around with both Coco and Benny. Oscar went on a few runs, but mostly just milled around wherever other dogs were bustling.
