The Adventure Pack

Coco and Wesley were in a mood today and growled at the first dog we passed.  Meanwhile, Rucksack and Sage were overly eager to say hello.  This dynamic recurred for the next couple dogs we saw along the trail, as well.  I worked with everyone to keep them calmer by turning around and taking them in the other direction and/or off to the side of the trail to let the other dogs pass unbothered and by the last couple dogs we encountered, everyone was a lot more mellow - though we still stepped off to the side of the trail to let them pass.

The Play Pack

Oscar has been a bit frantic in his greetings at the park this week, so I kept him on the leash to more closely monitor him and keep him from charging up to people and dogs.  After a few corrections early on, he really calmed down and was much nicer.  All the while, we were walking around the perimeter of the park and going up to dogs together so that he could have lots of practice, and Benny, Milo, and Oso all followed along.  Every so often, Benny, Milo, or Oso would break into a run and sometimes one of the others would join and run side-by-side with their packmate.
