The Adventure Pack

Sputnik was pretty rambunctious today and went after just about everything in sight - twigs, rocks, pine needles, Chelsea's elbows, Benny's haunches.  The first part of the hike went smoothly but he got a burst of puppy energy a ways into it that lasted until we got back to the car.  Chelsea was mostly unperturbed by his puppy assaults.  Benny whined in complaint whenever Sputnik started harassing him, and I responded each time by separating them.  Oliver has always managed to remain mostly unassailed by his young packmate.  Despite being so small, or maybe because of it, he seems to have figured out how to elicit more respect than his bigger packmates.

The Play Pack

Yoda started off today's park visit by sniffing around the perimeter, just as last time.  On the first pass, Coco played some fetch, Oscar had a couple brief wrestling matches, and Benny trotted around to different people getting compliments on how handsome he is.  After one time around, I called Yoda over and gave him an enthusiastic neck-scratch and then ran a few steps away.  That got him into a playful spirit and he proceeded to sprint around with all of his packmates following him.  Later on, Benny had a wrestle with his good friend Milo while Yoda hopped around them and dropped into play-bows.  Meanwhile, Coco and Oscar both played some more fetch.
