The Adventure Pack

The pack did a good job of walking together on the leash today, and when we practiced stopping, turning around and coming to sit at the side of the trail to let other dogs pass, Wesley, Rucksack, Sage, and Coco were all very responsive.  It was a great day for reinforcing good manners!

The Play Pack

Milo and Benny had a play-bow match at the park today.  It seemed like some form of doggy limbo, in which each tried to drop into a deeper and more inviting bow than the other.  They went back and forth like that briefly before it turned into a hopping/wrestling match.  Oscar found a bigger, white and tan dog to play with for a good long while.  His playmate had tons of energy to match Oscar's, and kept coming back to instigate Oscar and then shoulder-dive onto the ground in front of him, inviting Oscar to come and get him.  Oso wandered the park, returning to me every so often to check in.  He tried to mount one dog a few times, but in the process he became the object of another dog's attempts.  When it became clear that he couldn't mount the one dog without the other mounting him in turn, he thankfully thought better of it and left them alone.
