The Adventure Pack
It was a bit windy out on the trails today. Coco was amped up from the beginning of the hike and impatient about her packmates who were interested in sniffing around the trailhead. Wesley sat down to scratch an itch at one point and started groaning, presumably with satisfaction at finding the right spot. Coco leapt over to him and gave an inquisitive look as he quietly rumbled. As we continued on our way back down, Benny became very persistent about trying to head back up the way we came. I think it might have something to do with a deer carcass that he discovered earlier in the week and revisited yesterday before I realized what I was doing and got him to come back. Rucksack pretty much just stayed at my side through the hike. He was in Coco's camp early on and pressed to keep going while Benny and Wesley sniffed around, but then he settled into place by me for the rest of the hike.
The Play Pack
Mia was raring to go today and she ran across the park toward the nearest dogs the moment we got in. She and Oscar ended up wrestling around with each other for a while. A couple tennis balls were also in the mix with them, and each kept trying to steal the other's and thus giving up their own, in a repeating cycle. Milo was pretty spry today and went off ahead of me to scope out the situation at the park when we first arrived. Benny, on the other hand, seemed pretty tuckered out and just sauntered around from person to person smelling pockets.
