The Adventure Pack

The pack had a good hike up the First Flatiron today.  The weather was nice and cool, and not windy like yesterday.  It was perfect for a hike!  Rucksack, Coco, and Benny all sat nicely and waited whenever I brought them over to the side of the trail to let other hikers (and sometimes their dogs) pass.  Coco even let a little boy pet her.  I warned her that she gets nervous about strangers approaching her sometimes and, after saying hello to Benny and Rucksack, he reached over and gave Coco a gentle pat on the head; then he said, "You just have to pet her slow."  He was a little dog whisperer!

The Play Pack

Mia was a bundle of energy today!  She wrestled around with a yellow Lab mix pup and then later with a Goldendoodle.  She also chomped at water as it came out of the spigot and got nice and wet so that the dirt would stick to her better.  Milo had an admirer who tried to mount him a couple times but then the dog gave up after being interrupted and scolded by his human, which I'm sure Milo's old hips appreciated.  Benny ran across the park to say hello to the regulars who were in the grassy area at the back of the park.  Usually he waits with me until I take the whole pack over, but I guess he was just too excited for that today.
