The Adventure Pack

Rucksack got another try off leash today and did exceptionally well.  He didn't take off when I first unhooked his leash, he came right up to me every time I called him, and he found himself a job to do by carrying a stick as he so often likes to.  Coco was definitely jeaous to see Rucksack wandering with a bit more freedom, and she kept trying to run over to him.  If I had let her off leash with him, I think the excitement would have sent them running off without any heed to me.  Wesley didn't pull at all today but he did have an attitude with one dog who came near us while I had the pack sitting to let the other hikers pass.  Wesley leapt up and gave a loud bark at the other dog that even made me jump a bit - so, today Wesley stayed on the leash for more practice on greeting dogs politely.

The Play Pack

Oso found a friend at the park today who he had a lot of fun with.  The other dog was smaller and muscular with a brindle coat, and the two of them ran around together and bowed for each other playfully.  Benny found a playmate of his own and flailed his legs around while play-bowing and leaping to entice the other dog to come after him.  Milo had a bit more pep in his step today as we walked around the park, while Oscar was notably more mellow than usual.  It was a good balance.
