The Adventure Pack

Coco had an off-leash test run today and did very well.  She didn't bolt off when I took the leash off, she didn't wander too far, and she came when I called her!  Yesterday's intensive practice paid off.  We'll see how our other packmates do as the week progresses.  It was great for Rucksack, Oliver, and Benny to see an example today of better behavior when off-leash.  Benny is usually quite good, but Rucksack proved to be somewhat in his own world yesterday.  Oliver is generally very good about staying close, though once in a while he barks at other dogs.  Today, he was quick to listen whenever I told him to sit and let a dog pass by on the trail without engaging them.

The Play Pack

Maebe and Coco played lots of fetch today.  We got into a great rhythm with one always returning with a ball at the same time as the other was running off after one, and they were both bringing the balls right back to me.  Oscar and Benny watched their packmates for a while and then wrestled around with one another.  Later on, Maebe ran all over the park with a group of about 4 dogs.  Oscar found a playful Weimariner puppy to play with.  Coco joined the run with Maebe on and off whenever they ran nearby.  Benny made rounds with the humans at the park and caught some unsuspecting people with kisses in the face.
