The Adventure Pack

The pack switched around positions a lot during today's hike and as a result I had to untangle leashes from each other and doggy legs frequently.  On one occasion as I bent down to get Rucksack's leash out from under his leg, Benny took the opportunity to lean forward and plant a big lick on the side of my face.  Oliver had the hardest time with all the moving around because sometimes another dog's leg would catch his leash and pull him around, so I kept him at my side as best I could - however, sometimes he'd slip between Benny or Rucksack's legs and learn the hard way.  Coco and Rucksack were both a bit more anxious to rush over to other dogs we passed today.  It always seems the cooler weather brings out a more high-strung energy in the dogs.

The Play Pack

Maebe was raring to go today, with legs flailing everywhere as I walked her to the car to head to the park.  At the park, she and Coco played fetch; and whenever a moment passed when I wasn't throwing the ball, Maebe rushed over to the nearest dog playing fetch with their own guardian and joined in.  Benny was very playful today and he and Oscar went at it almost nonstop.  Benny grabbed up a tennis ball at one point to play keep-away and had Oscar and Coco both after him.  Later on, Coco found a rope-ball toy and played keep-away from all her packmates and every other dog nearby who was interested.
