The Adventure Pack
At one point during today's hike, an off-leash dog walked right up to us as we were walking on-leash, and I was truly impressed when Rucksack, Benny, and Oliver all patiently waited for the dog to come to them instead of trying to pull me over. It was a mark of great improvement over their usual greetings. Benny is typically passive about meeting dogs he doesn't know, but Oliver and Rucksack are usually very anxious to say hello. They were excited when they greeted their new friend today as well, but showed great restraint in letting him be the first to walk up.
The Play Pack
The pack hung out together a lot at the park today, with other dogs coming in and out of the group. There was a big Great Dane (mix?) named Maya who ran around with Maebe, nosed and barked at Oscar to get him worked up, and got chased by Coco, while Benny bowed and groaned at Oscar. Later, there was a smaller pup who Oscar followed around, licking his ears and sometimes trying to mount him. Benny, Coco, and Maebe all came over and also gave the other pup a thorough sniffing then followed him around a bit.
