The Play Pack
We practiced walking together as a pack on the trails this morning. Benny often stops in place and waits behind his packmates; Coco, Rucksack, and Wesley all tend to pull ahead if not regularly reminded to stay at my side or behind me. Today, I let the leashes looser than usual and directly addressed each pack member if they fell out of our loose formation. It worked out very well and by the second half of the hike, I barely had to correct anyone and a passer-by commented on how well-behaved they all were.
The Play Pack
Oso was in one of his mounting moods today and I repeatedly interrupted him in his attempts to hump a couple dogs at the park. Meanwhile, Benny and Oscar played with another dog named Oscar, who is about Benny's size. Benny kept dropping into play-bows in front of the big Oscar, who responded by planting a paw right on top of Benny's head. They were very funny together. Our own Oscar joined in and got big Oscar to chase him for a bit.
