The Adventure Pack
We took a very moderate pace today because the dogs, especially Benny and Toskey, were very interested in sniffing just about every inch along the side of the path. Sage joined in the sniffing for most of the time, too. She was much calmer through the walk than she was last week after that goose threatened her.
The Play Pack
After having spent a couple nights with me, Sage has realized that not every moment spent in my company can be occupied by playing fetch. Consequently, when we arrived at the park today, she took a few minutes to mill around and sniff 'hello' with most of the dogs there before turning her attention to our usual fetch-a-thon. Oscar and a couple other dogs his size were caught up in a love triangle that resulted in several briefly-lived, three-dog chains of mounting. Benny made a few trips between the pond and the shade, and wasn't very playful at the park. I tickled his chin to see if I could get him feeling playful, and he wagged his tail for a minute but then just lied down.
