The Adventure Pack

Rucksack had his first pack outing in two weeks and his excitement was obvious.  He usually comes up to greet me eagerly with a little spring in his step but today he bounced over with even more enthusiasm than normal.  On the walk, Rucksack and Toskey were both tempted by geese in the kids' fishing pond along the Boulder Creek Trail.  Benny didn't pay the geese any mind, but he was searching the sidewalk for any poop they might have left behind.  It's been a challenge keeping him away from it when we pass by that area.

The Play Pack

Oscar took last week off from pack activities as well, and he was also more exuberant than ever when I came to pick him up.  At the park, he had several rounds of chasing with a whole slew of playmates, all sizes.  One of Oscar's chasing partners was also a tennis ball lover and actually beat Sage to the ball a few times when I threw it for her.  The moment he dropped the ball, though, Sage darted right in to snatch it back and bring it over to me for another go.  Benny waded out further into the pond than before, getting his chest and belly wet.  He made friends with what appeared to be a Husky mix.  Benny has been kind of lazy and not particularly social lately so it was good to see him getting to know a new dog.
