The Adventure Pack
Rucksack, Wesley, and Benny trekked upriver for the return leg of our hike today. The water was chest-high for them, and they walked in a line with Rucksack at the lead, followed by Wesley, with Benny bringing up the rear. I stayed on dry land beside them. The chipmunks were out in force and got Wesley all riled up. They caught Rucksack's attention, as well. One darted under a boulder as Wesley ran toward him and I saw the little guy pop out the other side and run off; but Wesley didn't notice the escape and he sniffed around the boulder, trying to figure out where the chipmunk was.
The Play Pack
Oscar wreslted around with Benny while Benny was lying in the back of the packmobile with him on our way to the park. At the park, Benny was a bit more adventurous in the water and went almost up to his chest. He had no qualms about splashing into the stream on our hike this morning, but I think all the large rocks in the lake make him wary of his footing at the park. Sage had some competition racing her for the tennis balls I threw today. Later on, the other dog found a tennis ball of his own so I first threw Sage's and then threw his. I always Sage's ball first because she was the faster of the two and I don't think she's too picky about what ball she chases, so she would have beat the other dog to his ball if I did it the other way around.
