The Adventure Pack

Chelsea, a former pack member, is back with us for a couple weeks.  She met Benny, Toskey, and Rucksack as we gathered everyone up for the hike.  She grumbled a bit at Benny when he started to relentlessly nose at her face the way he does when he's excited but then they got along just fine, as did Chelsea with both Toskey and Rucksack.  We worked a lot on sticking together and having everyone pay attnetion and follow me today, by stopping and changing direction every so often or practicing everyone's 'sit' together.  We started out a little rough, with Chelsea, Rucksack, and Toskey all pulling ahead and not stopping with me, and Benny lagging behind; but after about 30 minutes, we were like a well-oiled machine!

The Play Pack

It was very hot at the park today!  We hung out in the shade of a small tree together after walking around for a little while.  Benny and Maverick both plopped down and took it easy;  Meanwhile, Sage ran out into the sun to fetch her tennis ball, stopping to lie down for a brief respite in between each throw.  It was Oscar's first day back after a week off and he had a tennis ball of his own which he was very good about fetching it today.  He had been slacking on the retrieval part lately, opting to just chase it down and then leave it, but he brought it back and lied down next to me with it every single time today.
