The Adventure Pack

Isaac, an energetic Australian Cattle Dog who usually goes out with me in the late afternoons, joined the pack today.  His bubbly energy got Benny feeling playful right from the beginning of the hike.  Benny tried to keep up as Isaac kept sprinting up the trail and back.When Isaac found a big branch to carry, it slowed his pace down enough for Benny to acually follow him around.  Rucksack wandered up ahead a lot during today's hike but he was good about turning around and coming back when I called him, whenever he went out of sight around a bend or over a ridge.  Oliver stayed close throughout the hike.  I saw him nibble at a blade of grass and it struck me that one blade is a mouthful for him, whereas his big packmates would barely notice if a blade of grass got into their mouths.

The Play Pack

Coco and Oscar took turns fetching the tennis ball at the park today; although, Oscar is pretty spotty on the part about bringing the ball back.  There was a hole started underneath a picnic table and Coco, Benny, and Oscar all contributed to it's development.  The dirt in it was dark and cool, and Oscar snuggled into it for a bit.  Maverick hung out under the picnic table right next to the hole but didn't get his paws dirty like his packmates.
