The Adventure Pack
Coco just loves rolling around in the grass. I wonder whether it's an itch on her back, or the smell of it, or if she just really loves grass. Benny hovered over her and watched, perplexed, as she writhed around ecstatically beside the trail, chomping at blades that found their way into her mouth. Later on, Toskey and Rucksack had a great time off leash together. Toskey found a stick to chew on for a minute and then Rucksack gave her a chase for it. We saw former packmate Cooper on the trails. He was a bit intimidated by the group when we first crossed paths - I think the only one he knew was Benny - but we came by each other again later and he said hello to everyone.
The Play Pack
Sage came right to me at the door today when I picked her up, even without a tennis ball in my hand! I had it in my pocket in case she needed some coaxing, but she was totally comfortable today. At the park, she fetched a tennis ball for most of the time, as usual. She also found the one puddle at the otherwise dry park and flopped right down in it frequently. Oscar has been letting Sage chase down all the tennis balls since she joined the pack, but today he decided to go for it and managed to beat her to it some of the time. Benny danced around with a big chocolate Lab named Jameson. They dropped into play bows and kept maneuvering around each other to lay their heads over one another's backs. Maverick spent the visit sniffing around the park today. He wasn't as interested in being social as he had been last week.
