The Adventure Pack

Rucksack and Sage were both thrilled to splash around in the stream we passed early on in today's hike.  Rucksack found a big log in the water that he carried up to the top of the trail.  Sage got playful with him and tried to steal his log, though Rucksack didn't let that happen.  Oliver followed Rucksack up the trail as we made our ascent, with me, Sage, and Benny following.  After dropping his log at the top of the Amphitheatre trail, Rucksack found a smaller stick and had a tug-of-war with Benny, again coming away with the prize.

The Play Pack

Everyone was full of energy today.  It was probably at least in part to the cooler temperatures we had after the early afternoon shower.  Maverick followed Coco around a lot, sometimes with a bounce in his step and a little playful growl to spur Coco into a short chase.  There was a very excited black pup who ran really fast in big circles with Oscar, Coco, and Benny all on his heels.  Coco and Oscar dug a hole under a picnic table and then lied down and chewed at each other's faces and rolled around in the dirt.  They had a blast!
