The Adventure Pack

The pups all got very wet during today's hike!  There were surprisingly few shake-offs; Coco, Benny, and Toskey each only shook off two or three times in the entire time out.  Toskey ran up ahead pretty far every so often but was very good about waiting when I called to her.  She and Benny romped together through the tall, wet grass during the last stretch of the hike.  Coco got spooked by a jogger who came up from behind us, probably because it was harder to hear him coming through the rain.  I didn't notice him until Coco spun around suddenly.

The Play Pack

The rain had stopped by the time we got to the park.  The Valmont Dog Park has just closed for the summer while they renovate it so we went to the Foothills Dog Park in North Boulder.  It wasn't very busy, but we did see a couple familiar faces.  Benny wreslted around with his friend Lincoln right when we showed up.  Oscar and Benny also had a bout of play together.  When Maverick saw Oscar running in circles around Benny, he bolted by and got Oscar to run after him.  Later on, Oberon came to the park and Oscar went nuts running around with him.  Oberon was very interested in Sage's tennis ball, which I had been throwing for her throughout our visit.  He managed to steal it from under her nose and then proceeded to flaunt it in front of her and rub his face and neck all over her to tease her.  She put up with it for a minute and then found another ball for me to throw.
