The Adventure Pack

Coco, Benny, and Rucksack had a blast frolicking in the freshly fallen snow today.  They all had turns off leash with each of their packmates, and they all made the most of it.  Coco and Benny started off, having momentary stand-offs that ended when Benny broke and started running around in circles with Coco at his heels.  Later, Rucksack found a stick in the snow while Coco stood a few feet away, watching intently.  He proceeded to tease Coco into a chase, triumphantly holding his stick high in the air.  When Rucksack and Benny were romping together on the last leg of the hike, Coco got jealous and threw several tantrums of leaping up and down, chewing at her leash, and wailing like she was in agony.  I had her stop, sit, and stay for a minute each time she started throwing a fit.  She really couldn't stand seeing her packmates having fun without her.

The Play Pack

Coco and Oscar did a lot of chasing and wrestling around together today.  Benny was a bit more forward about joining in and instead of just nipping at rear ends, he sidled right up to Coco and tried to get in the middle of things.  Oscar was really amped today.  At one point, he started running toward me when I called him over, but as he neared he veered off to the side and started running in big loops, barking to get the attention of other dogs around so they'd chase him.  Coco and Benny were happy to oblige.
