The Adventure Pack
Rucksack was very good about staying close by when he was off leash today - something he's been having some trouble with lately. Today, he mostly stayed right on the trail as he carried his stick up ahead then stopped, turned back to watch me and his packmates, and waited until we caught up before trotting up ahead a bit again. Oliver was more interested in sniffing spots alongside Rucksack and Benny today, whereas he often hangs back while his packmates investigate odors. Benny had a burst of goofy, playful energy toward the end of the hike and he leapt all over alongside the trail, dropping into play-bows one after another.
The Play Pack
Benny, Coco, and Oscar have really gotten into a habit of having 3-way tug-of-wars over sticks. They spent a while at it again today. Meanwhile, Maverick chased around a tennis ball that I was throwing for him. Oftentimes, he's backed off if another dog seems interested in the ball, but today he was much bolder. Coco came over one time when she saw that I was about to throw the ball and then she ran for it when I threw it, but Maverick was already on it. He shook it vigorously as he trotted back toward me with it, his front legs bouncing back and forth with the swinging of his head.
