The Adventure Pack

Coco and Rucksack ran side-by-side in big loops around me and their packmates as we made our way up the Chautauqua trail at the beginning of today's hike.  I haven't let them off leash together in a while because they had gotten into the habit of racing down the trail together and ignoring me when I called them back.  Today, they did plenty of racing with each other but they stayed in sight and were much better about coming back to me.  Later on, Benny nibbled on sticks that either Coco or Rucksack carried while Oliver led the way down the trail.

The Play Pack

Benny and Maverick were both very mellow again at the park today.  Maverick wandered around a bit but mostly just sat in place and watched the other dogs.  He sat next to a sweet old lady for a little while and leaned against her leg.  Benny wandered about, sniffing, following me at a short distance as I made my way around the park.  Coco played fetch but wasn't very keen on dropping the ball when she brought it back.  I only threw it once every few minutes, when she would finally drop it.  Oscar played a little fetch and also went around the park greeting dogs and trying to join in a few wrestling matches.
