The Adventure Pack
Rucksack started off today's hike with a much smaller stick than usual. One plus for him was that there was none of it sticking out the sides of his mouth for Benny or Coco to grab onto. On the other hand, it seems it didn't prove to be a challenging enough job and he ended up just chewing it to pieces after a short while. Later, He found a stick that looked suspiciously like the one he carried yesterday, although it was in a totally different spot than where we left it. Perhaps another dog carried it up the trail in the meantime. Coco and Benny were much more interested in that stick and they both nibbled on it and gave it a few tugs to see if Rucksack would part with it. Their efforts were fruitless.
The Play Pack
Oscar played fetch at the park today, though he wasn't as consistent about bringing the ball back as he usually is. Benny watched Oscar while he fetched and seemed interested, but barely gave an effort to get the ball when I bounced it near him. Maverick was also pretty low-energy today. I guess this warmer weather is going to take some getting used to for the pack. Maverick hung out around his tree stumps but neither Benny (who usually chases Maverick) nor Oscar were interested in playing peek-a-boo today.
