The Adventure Pack

There were a lot of other dogs out on the trails today and many of them were on leash.  The pack was on leash for today's hike, as well.  Wesley and Benny stayed on due to their recent chase after a skunk that luckily turned out much less smelly than it could have.  Coco was being unfriendly toward others on the trail from the beginning of today's hike, so she stayed on.  And I wanted to work more with Rucksack on walking without pulling ahead on the leash, since we've been having some trouble with that.  But they all still got to make stops to sniff around as we went, and they walked along well with me for the most part.  Rucksack even found a stick to carry and Benny tried to nibble at it a few times.

The Play Pack

Oscar wrestled around with a puppy who was apparently part Newfoundland but looked more like a black Lab.  The puppy had tons of energy and tried to play with Benny, too, but Benny wasn't that interested.  Maverick hung out around his packmates and the other dogs for a while before making his way down to the tree stump.  We headed over there to meet him a little bit later and then he played his peek-a-boo game with Benny, who chased him around the stump and whined after Maverick disappeared under it.  Meanwhile, I played fetch with Oscar, who has a very cute habit of lying down with his head down next to the ball when he brings it back (sometimes).
