The Adventure Pack

We met a friendly woman who asked to say hello to the pack today.  Rucksack went right up and leaned his side against her.  Coco started to get a little worked up and bit at Rucksack's leash so I squatted down and got her attention to calm her.  Then the woman came over to Benny and Wesley, who both just stood and looked up at her.  Coco had settled down at that point and then she got some love, too.

The Play Pack

We had a new member in the Play Pack today: Oso!  Oso is a big Bernese Mountain Dog with a very friendly demeanor.  When I first brought him up to the car to greet his packmates, he wasn't at all shy about poking his head into the car while Benny and Wesley loomed over him from inside.  Once he hopped in, I noticed him nosing and licking Benny's ear on our way to the park.  They seemed to get along right from the start.  Once at the park, he and Benny got right into playing with each other.  Benny usually doesn't play much with other big dogs - he seems a bit intimidated by them and runs away when they start to get playful; but he had a great time with Oso!  They did a lot of boxing.  Oso got a little too friendly a few times and tried to mount Benny, but Benny shuffled him right off.  When Benny wasn't playing with Oso, he and Wesley were running around together.  Later, Wesley was walking around at my heel so I found a ball to play fetch.  He fetched it a few times before another pup came running in and snatched it ahead of him.  He also enjoyed rolling around in the snow again today.  Meanwhile, Oso and Benny were running around and play-wreslting with each other endlessly.  Back in the car, they chilled out and Oso licked Benny's ear some more.
