The Adventure Pack

We headed up the Mesa trail for today's hike.  The trails were surprisingly empty considering how nice the weather was.  Rucksack carried a stick along for a short while and none of his packmates contested him for it.  Toskey was more interested in sniffing alongside the trail, as was Coco on the opposite side.  Benny stayed a bit back from the rest of the pack but seems to have gotten out of his habit of stopping suddenly in place.

The Play Pack

Maverick goaded Benny into a brief chase that spanned all of about 15 yards.  After the first few leaps, Benny seemed to decide it wasn't worth the effort to continue after Maverick.  Afterward, Maverick fetched a tennis ball and performed lots of playful antics like hopping on his back legs, batting the ball around, and shaking it around.  Benny got interested in the tennis ball and I threw it for him to catch a few times.  After a few catches, Benny was more interested and he actually chased the ball and even brought it back to me.  Later, Maverick hopped around me like he wanted to wrestle.
