The Adventure Pack

Rucksack and Wesley started the hike off with a lot of romping through the snow together.  Wesley typically trots along behind me for most of the hike like a devoted trooper but the cold weather and snow on the ground really brought out his playful pup side.  Their play got Coco all worked up and she practiced her Chewbacca impression again.  We bumped into Rucksack's human granddad early on in the hike and Rucksack was very excited to see him - it took some coaxing to get him to follow the pack as we continued on.  Benny ate up mouthful after mouthful of snow as we made our way along the trail.

The Play Pack

Benny hung out with a Coonhound and a Great Dane/Hound mix for most of our time at the park.  He just watched them play at first but then had some fun chewing on the Coonhound's ears as they wrestled around together.  Maverick hopped around the bigger dogs a bit and then pounced at snowballs that I kicked into the air.  When we were on our way out, Maverick decided it was time to go hide in his tree fort - in the dug out area under the two big tree stumps in the small dog park.  He popped out every now and then to get a dog's attention and then ran around and darted back in.  He spent another hour like that and in the meantime Benny got a second wind and played with some other pups who had just shown up at the park, including his friend Alfie, who we hadn't seen in a while.
