Adventure Pack
Roger Roger behaved himself for a long time while off leash with Milo today. He had a good time exploring the trail up ahead and checking in with Milo who brought up the rear. At one point, after the two of them together had fallen behind a bit, Roger Roger decided it was a good time to try to coerce Milo into playing by barking in his face while Milo just turned away to express his disinterest. Roger Roger wouldn't take the hint, so that was the ...

Adventure Pack
Roger Roger did a great job off the leash today, but that was probably because I didn't let him off with any of his packmates. It was a good way for him to get some practice having the freedom without being tempted to go nuts barking and chewing at his packmates. Rucksack found a small stick to carry and Roger Roger walked alongside him for a while so he could gnaw on the end of it. Benny and Oliver trotted pleasantly along the trail, sniffing aro...

Adventure Pack
Rucksack was interested in pine cones today and picked a couple different ones, each of which he carried along for a short while. Roger Roger took after his brother and went for pine cones as well until he saw a stick that particularly appealed to him, and then he carried that stick for the entire rest of the hike. The harder, uphill hike got to Thompson and he lapped up lots of water from the CamelBak despite having passed on it most of the time fora l...

Adventure Pack
The pack recieved many compliments on how sweet and well behaved they were today. They made one woman especially happy when they all stopped to say hello and get pets. Roger Roger jumped up once but managed to contain himself well after that. Rucksack and Benny were both happy to get the attention. Oliver hung back a bit but didn't shy away when the woman came around to say hello to him as well.

Adventure Pack
Today was the pack's first day back on OSMP trails. As we headed up the Mesa trail, Roger Roger did a very good job of behaving himself while off leash with Milo. A little while later, Rucksack went off leash with his little brother and then Roger Roger's good behavior lasted a bit longer before he started barking at Rucksack and biting his legs, so Roger Roger went back on the leash and Milo went back off. Rucksack and Milo had some fun together ...

Adventure Pack
Milo and Rucksack both spent time getting wet in the stream today while Benny, Mamacita, and Roger Roger all kept dry. Roger Roger didn't come upon a worthwhile stick until late in the hike, but he was happy to claim it when he did. Rucksack watched his brother with interest but made no attempts to steal away his prize.

Adventure Pack
Roger Roger picked out his own stick at the beginning of today's hike. Rucksack jealously eyed his brother's prize for a while and tried to steal it away a few times, but I told him to leave it and he listened well. Sputnik also wanted a piece of Roger Roger's stick and he was a bit more persistnet in his attempts at thievery, but Roger Roger hung on until I was able to get Sputnik's attention, too. Oliver and Benny had no interest in sticks, but ...

Adventure Pack
Roger Roger started off well on today's hike. He splashed through the stream and periodically checked back in with his packmates but didn't stir up any trouble...for a while. I kept Rucksack on the leash while Roger Roger was off so as to try not to tempt Roger Roger, since Rucksack is his favorite target for harrassment, and that plan was working out well. Then, Roger Roger and Benny got into some playful dodging and bumping with each other a...

Adventure Pack
Milo spent much of today's hike wading through the stream and lingering behind the pack. Meanwhile, Benny followed right behind me on the trail. Rucksack ran back and forth between the stream with Milo and the trail with the rest of us, and his own exploration further up the trail. He found a stick early on that was stolen away by another dog we passed. The other dog didn't hold onto it for long at all and then Roger Roger snatched it up and carrie...

Adventure Pack
Milo spent much of today's hike wading through the stream alongside the trail. Benny and Oliver preferred to stay dry. Ruffers wasn't used to walking with the pack on the leash and it took her a while to settle in and stop pulling, but eventually she was walking as calmly as her packmate Mamacita next to her.
