Everyone was exceptionally calm and well-behaved on today's hike.  Milo wandered into the brush early on and enjoyed trotting along a stream.  Coco was the calmest I think I've ever seen her on a hike as she stayed at a heel for most of her time off leash, not trying to rush ahead and beat us to where we're going as she usually does.  Roger Roger barked at the rest of the pack for a minute when he was first let off leash, in an attempt to get so...

Oliver took up the rear as we hiked.  He was in a grumpy mood and barked at a couple of the dogs we passed along the way.  Meanwhile, Benny trotted just off to the side of the trail, sniffing around as we went.  Rucksack, Roger Roger, and Sputnik all carried small sticks for parts of our hike but nobody held onto theirs for very long.

We came across a few different groups of people who asked if they could come over and say hello to the pack today.  Rucksack and Benny were the warmest greeters.  Roger Roger jumped all over whichever packmate of his was getting the most attention.  Coco and Milo were less forward but got a few pats as well.

Rucksack found a small stick early on today and before long Roger Roger was nibbling on the end and trying to steal it away.  The stick was fairly brittle and Roger Roger broke off a couple chunks in his attempts.  A while later, Roger Roger resumed his efforts and Rucksack apparently decided it was time to share because he passed the stick into his little brother's mouth without resistance.  Sputnik was also interested in getting in on the stick and...

It was another quiet day on the trail.  Coco discovered a small stick ealong the way early on and while she sniffed at it Rucksack came over and grabbed it up.  We took turns carrying the stick as we went. We had a calm day on the trails today.  Rucksack, Roger Roger, Sputnik, Benny, and Oliver were all very responsive and everyone stayed close.  We passed by a few other dogs on the trails and the whole pack did a good job of being polite and not swarming them or trying to drag me over.  Roger Roger and Sputnik each had a few playful outbursts of puppy energy but they laid off of harassing their packmates readily when asked.
