Every time Mogul got back by 15 yards or so, I called him up ahead.  He bounded up the trail past me, Coco, and Benny, to where Rucksack was waiting just up ahead.  Rucksack bowed and hopped around as Mogul approached him and he got Mogul to give him a little chase most of the time.  Later on, Benny followed right behind me for a lot of the time while he was off-leash, and Coco was very good about coming straight to me without hesitation when I c...

Rucksack sampled a small assortment of sticks today, but didn't stick with any one for very long.  He also carried a pinecone for a short stint.  Coco didn't steal Rucksack's sticks today.  She was busy exploring alongside the trail.  Benny followed his packmates around alternately.  He has his nose to the ground almost constantly, and is usually chewing on a some grass, snow, or a piece of wood.

Rucksack found a big, short chunk of wood to carry for a while today.  Benny came over and gnawed on the end a bit and Coco made a few attempts to steal it away before finally succeeding, after which she carried it off and then left it behind.  Coco spent most of the time a few yards off one side of the trail or the other, exploring, and Benny kept running back and forth between Coco and me.
