Thompson, Sanaya, and Coco got their paws wet in Bear Creek this afternoon while Ruffers, Sputnik, and Isaac opted out.  Later on, Coco rolled around in the grass and I was surprised that Isaac didn't join her.  Ruffers, Coco, and Sanaya all made a few playful moves with each other during the walk.  Sputnik and Thompson kept pulling off to the side of the path to sniff.  Isaac just trotted along behind me.

Thompson, Ruffers, Mamacita, and Sputnik had a long walk along the Creek this morning.  Thompson and Ruffers hung out in the water for a long while when we made a stop there, and Thompson really wanted to wade out further into the Creek but was limited by the length of the leash.  Sputnik had one brief, grumbly moment when we passed a Pit Bull on the path but was otherwise well behaved with all of the other dogs we came across.

Play Pack

The whole pack hopped into Bear Creek this afternoon.  Sputnik didn't linger and was back on dry land pretty quickly.  Isaac took the opportunity to lay down in the running water and get well soaked.  Thompson and Sanaya stayed on their feet but lingered in the water for a long while and were the last to get out.  Ruffers and Coco made playful moves with each other while they trotted along the path side-by-side.

Mamacita, Ruffers, and Sputnik hiked the Red Rocks trail at Settler's Park this morning.  I was glad to see Sputnik stayed calm when we were approached by a dog who was hanging out by the Creek off-leash at the end of our outing.

Sanaya, Thompson, Coco, and Stella enjoyed a walk along Bear Creek together this afternoon.  Stella wiggled around in the grass as she often does, and Coco joined in for a bit as well.

Ruffers and Sputnik have been flirting and playing with one another since they both joined us for boarding this week, and that continued when they came out this morning with Mamacita.  Mamacita let them have their fun without inserting herself, and enjoyed just walking by the Creek and sniffing the grass along the sidewalk.

Milo's back legs were wobbly again today so I just took him and Sputnik on a short walk around the Valmont Park area on mostly level ground.  The pair of them sniffed bushes together along the way and each left scent marks.

Milo was a little wobbly today.  I think that he's feeling the ache from Monday's hike after having taken a week off from pack activities while I was away, and it's hitting him two days later just like it does for me when I miss a week at the gym.  He and his packmates all enjoyed a little swim in the Creek.  Thompson dove right in and dunked his head under, although I'm not sure that was on purpose.  I think it was just deeper than he had expec...

Sputnik and Milo enjoyed a quiet walk along Boulder Creek this morning.  We found a nice spot by the bank of the Creek where the water was deep enough for Milo to get in a little bit of a swim, which pleased him greatly.

Milo and Sputnik were caught up in every smell we encountered along the trail today.  Ruffers and Mamacita were less distracted by their noses and happy with walking along.  The whole pack was very happy to get in the water each time we took a break at the stream through the Red Rocks spur trails.  As usual, Milo would have been happy to spend the rest of the day just wading in it.  Mamacita made a playful leap out of the water at one point and ...

Ruffers joined her packmates Sputnik, Milo, and Mamacita in the Creek this morning.  We found a spot along the bank where the dropoff into the water was less intimidating than the place we went yesterday, which was all it took for Ruffers to decide to take a dip.  As usual, Milo was the last out of the water and looked like he would have been content to spend the rest of the morning just wading through the current.
