Coco was the first to pick up a stick today and Benny wanted it for himself.  After they spent a little time playing tug-of war with it while they were still on leash at the head of the trail, I took it from both of them so we could make some progress.  Once we got further up the trail, I let them both off leash and gave them the stick to enjoy again.  They played much the same way as they do when Coco taunts Benny with tennis balls at the park.&...

What a nice change in the weather!  It sprinkled on us just a little bit during the hike today, but it wasn't bad.  Rucksack has come to be much more independently minded and spent his off-leash time exploring alongside the trail with Toskey following behind him instead of the other way around.  Usually, Toskey has been the more adventurous one and Rucksack would just follow his packmates.  There was a lot of sniffing early on today.  U...

Everyone was full of energy today!  Rucksack and Toskey ran up the trail and back over and over when they were off leash together despite the steep incline up the First Flatiron.  When Coco and Benny had their turn on the way down, Coco ran down the trail and back while Benny hung back to sniff around periodically and then ran up to catch his packmates.  The ground was soft from all the rain we've had recently but it wasn't quite muddy.
