Adventure Pack

Milo, Rucksack, and Roger Roger all enjoyed a long walk along Boulder Creek this morning.  It was a lot cooler than it has been most days lately, which was a nice break.  They all still enjoyed a dip in the creek anyway, and Milo would have stayed in the water for as long as I would have let him.

Charlie, Coco, Stella, Mamacita, and Ruffers also walked the creek this afternoon.  The sun had come out form ...

Adventure Pack

It was another hot day and Rucksack, Roger Roger, and Milo were all content to stay mostly on the shady trails and to spend some time wading through the stream.

A mom and her young boy come over and greeted the pack today.  Sputnik rested his head on the boy's chest and looked up into his face.  It was so sweet.  Ruffers and Thompson were also happy to get some pets.  Isaac was a little bit nervous about ...

Adventure Pack

We took an easy pace on the trail today and lingered in a shady spot for a little while to cool off.  Milo was happy to get a good back scratch while Roger Roger and Rucksack sniffed around the area and took drinks from the CamelBak.

Play Pack

Mamacita was playful when we first got to the park and had fun wiggling in the grass.  Roger Roger ran by and spurred Ruffers and Sputnik into a chase.  Sputnik needed a few remin...

Adventure Pack

Rucksack, Roger Roger, and Milo all had a good hike up the Red Rocks trails today. It was pretty cool when we set out but it warmed up quicly and everyone was eager to take a nice long rest at a shady section along the stream we always pass.

Adventure Pack

We saw a snake crossing the trail just after our first stop at the stream this morning.  Rucksack noticed it and stared intently as it slithered into the brush.  It was a small snake and not a rattler, but still I'm glad I had the dogs on the leash at that moment so they didn't get into any trouble, especially with the way Rucksack was staring, poised.  The rest of the hike was less eventful as we made our way around the Red Rocks trails.  Milo ...

Adventure Pack

Milo was the last to exit the water during our pit stop this morning along Boulder Creek.  Roger Roger, Rucksack, and Chelsea all enjoyed a quick dip and then were ready to move on.  There were a lot of passing runners and bikers today, probably getting ready for tomorrow's Iron Man triathlon.  The pack was unperturbed by the activity.

Adventure Pack

Milo took his time to investigate the brush today.  Meanwhile, Chelsea was panting a lot and eagerly drank from the CamelBak alongside Rucksack.  Roger Roger also took a drink, though he wasn't nearly as thirsty as the other two.  Milo was more interested in following scents than having a drink, and cooled off by hopping in the stream.

Adventure Pack

Rucksack and Roger Roger explored the trail off leash together today.  Roger Roger gnawed on his brother's legs occasionally, but he responded well when I called him off, and didn't get into any barking fits.  Meanwhile, Thompson and Milo took their time soaking in the stream along which we spent some time walking today as we headed to the shadier Red Rocks trails rather than the Anemone trail.

Adventure Pack

We headed up the Red Rocks trails today and stopped at the stream on our ways up and back.  Milo and Thompson both enjoyed taking their time cooling off.  Rucksack and Roger Roger were both excited to splash around a bit, too.  At one point, we passed a group of kids on a nature hike and their guide joked that Thompson, due to his large size, was a wolf.  The kids quickly corrected him, "No, he's a Husky!"

Adventure Pack

The parking lots at Eben G. Fine and Settlers Parks were totally full today so we ended up heading over to Bear Creek.  Milo, Rucksack, Roger Roger, and Thomspon still got to enjoy a dip in the water, which pleased them all.

Sadie, Stella, Sputnik, Mamacita and Thompson all had a nice walk in North Boulder by Wonderland Lake this afternoon.  Mamacita saw a postman and started staring at him and growling, but respon...
