Adventure Pack

Luca the Boxer joined the pack for our outing this morning and he and Sputnik were very interested in each other.  They licked each other's faces and started wrestling around whenever we stopped for a moment.  Milo got into a playful mood too and the three of them were a handful to settle down in order to keep walking.  Roger Roger and Rucksack walked at my other side and stayed out of the fray.

Rucksack and Milo both enjoyed a brief swim in the Creek today while Mamacita and Roger Roger looked on from the edge of the bank with only their paws in the water, not interested in going all-in.

The pack came across a pair of pigs walking on leash through Eben G Fine Park on the tail end of the morning's outing.  Rucksack and Roger Roger couldn't take their eyes off of the unexpected park-goers and head their heads turned over their shoulders after we passed by.  Milo, Mamacita, and Isaac took the pigs in stride with just passing glances.

We stopped at the small creek on our way up the Red Rocks trail today but it's been running pretty low so Milo, Sputnik, Rucksack, and Roger Roger only got their paws wet.  A short while later, it started sprinkling and then thunder started rolling in.  As the thunder got closer, we headed back to the car and cut the hike a little bit short.

The pack received many compliments on how beautiful they all looked as we walked the Creek today. Thompson was especially noted for his good looks by more than one admirer. When Thompson was being pet by an admirer, Roger Roger jumped all over his packmate and earned a few exasperated grumbles. Rucksack, Mama, and Milo all patiently waited their turns for attention and everyone received it from multiple people today.

The pack had a nice walk along the Creek again today.  Milo, Rucksack, Roger Roger, and Sputnik all followed along calmly as pedestrians, bicyclists, and other dogs passed by us.  Milo and Sputnik got a bit distracted for a little while when another dog was walking a short distance behind us, but they eventually got used to it and stopped checking over their shoulders.

We found a spot along the Creek today where the bank is flat and a pocket of water right at the bank is deep enough for the dogs to actually swim.  Milo, Rucksack, Roger Roger, Mamacita, and Yoda all got in and took turns swimming off the bank, on leash, and then in a semi-circle back where they then returned to shore, all sopping wet.

The pack had a nice walk along the Boulder Creek today.  We kept moving pretty much the whole time so we covered a good amount of ground.  Rucksack was pretty eager to say hello to passing dogs today, while Roger Roger, Yoda, Mamacita, and Milo were all content to just keep moving.

On today's hike, I learned that Roger Roger got into a bunch of almonds in the last 24 hours and Sputnik found a stray blue crayon, as both came out the other end undigested.  It appeared that Milo and Rucksack had less exciting diets.

Adventure Pack

Mamacita, Milo, Roger Roger, and Rucksack braved the rain today.  We headed to Wonderland Lake and up to Foothills Park to stay on high ground just in case of flash flooding.  Mamacita wasn't too thrilled about it but her packmates didn't seem to mind at all.  In her grumpy mood, she growled at a passer-by, which she hadn't done in a long time.
