The Adventure Pack
Rucksack, Wesley, and Benny trekked upriver for the return leg of our hike today. The water was chest-high for them, and they walked in a line with Rucksack at the lead, followed by Wesley, with Benny bringing up the rear. I stayed on dry land beside them. The chipmunks were out in force and got Wesley all riled up. They caught Rucksack's attention, as well. One darted under a boulder as Wesley ran toward him and I saw the little g...

The Adventure Pack
Oliver has been a lot friendlier than he used to be with other dogs on the trail. He and Sage wandered around together. Sage was in the lead most of the time, but toward the end of the hike she started taking breaks in the shade while Oliver continued onward. Benny was also keen to take breaks whenever the opportunity arose. Rucksack was on the same page as Oliver, always ready to keep going.

The Adventure Pack
Wesley and Rucksack enjoyed the cooler weather today (and so did I) but they still took a dip in the stream on our way up to the Anenome Trail. When we continued on, Rucksack was heeling expecially well and Wesley was right in line behind me as usual. Rucksack found a reasonably-sized stick to bring down the mountain on our way back.
The Play Pack
Benny and Oscar were a little more adventurous in the water today;...

The Adventure Pack
Some people we passed today were amused by the menagerie of a pack we had with Benny, Rucksack, and Oliver; all shapes and sizes! I overheard one girl refer to Oliver as a "little mcnugget". We took a break for the pups to wade in the creek at the same spot we stopped by yesterday. Oliver, who usually stays on dry land, actually went in up to his elbows (which is all of about 1.5 inches deep).

The Adventure Pack
We took the Boulder Creek Path again today and stopped down by the Creek for a bit so Toskey, Benny, and Oberon could all get wet and cool off a bit. It was a very hot day, and we took a very easy pace. Everyone except Oberon seemed to be feeling the heat - he's too young to care.

We had our first visit to the East Boulder Dog Park this year, so everyone could get wet. I wasn't sure if Maverick wou...

The Adventure Pack
Oberon joined Wesley and Rucksack for today's hike. He pulled a lot on the leash, but was very responsive to sitting when I wanted him to. Much like Benny when he was just a pup, Oberon was very interested in harassing Wesley with kisses. Wesley was less gruff with Oberon than he used to be with Benny, and tolerated the puppy's attention very well. The pack took a dip in the stream as we've been making a habit of lately. While wadi...

Sage went for the pinecones again on the trail today, and again Rucksack snatched one out from under her nose and made her chase him around for it. Benny, Rucksack, and Sage all waded around in the stream we passed while Oliver hung out with me along the bank.
The Play Pack
Oscar pulled some pretty acrobatic moves while fetching the tennis ball today. He does carzy mid-air spins and twists to get at the ball as it bou...

The Adventure Pack
Wesley, Rucksack, Chelsea, and Benny all splashed around in the stream about 30 minutes into today's hike. We hung out there for about 10 minutes because the dogs were all loving the water. Benny's ho-hum attitude totally changed after getting wet, and he started hopping around Chelsea to try to get her to wrestle around with him. Chelsea was feeling the heat a bit more, though, and wasn't interested in Benny's frolicking.

The Adventure Pack
It was another smoky morning and we took the same route along the Boulder Creek Path today as yesterday. Chelsea had a little trouble drinking from the Camelbak spout last week but she's gotten very used to it since then, which is good because she had some drool bubbles she needed to wash away. When she shakes off, her packmates are all at risk of receiving a glob of drool across their faces. Luckily for Rucksac, Benny, and Oliver, they remain...
