The Adventure Pack
Coco and Fletcher started off the day by mouthing each other's faces in the car on the way to Chautauqua. Once there, Mogul and Coco hiked off leash together. They mostly stuck pretty close by to me. When Mogul would occassionally start to lag, he would catch right up when I stopped and called him. He really responds when I wave to him in a "come here" motion - that usually stirs him into a gallop and a big grin. Fletcher pul...

The Adventure Pack
Coco and Rucksack were back to stick-carrying today; and with the two of them stick-carrying always leads to stick-stealing. Wesley seemed interested in a stick after Coco dropped it at one point, but he just gave it a sniff and left it where it was. We made it a good way up the Third Flatiron again today.
The Play Pack
Coco and Fletcher wrestled around with each other a lot when we first arrived at the park. ...

The Adventure Pack
Coco found a chunk of bone along the trails today and it immediately became the hot commodity. Rucksack followed her around for a while and grabbed it up whenever she put it down for a moment; but Coco hopped around him until he dropped it and then she took it back. Later, when Coco went on leash, Rucksack immediately grabbed up the bone and pranced around with it proudly; but his moment of self-satisfaction didn't last, as Mogul - who was eyeing th...

The Adventure Pack
Toskey found a ball left behind by another dog along the trails today and she had a great time teasing Coco with it. They ran 'round and 'round a picnic table off the side of the Third Flatiron trail and Rucksack and Wesley (who were on leash at the time) danced in place as they watched the action with excitement. Later on, Rucksack found a stick he liked and Coco chased him around for it.

The Adventure Pack
Coco and Rucksack did a lot of running together on the trails today. It was a beautiful day and they had lots of energy. I did too, so we made it a good way further up the Third Flatiron than usual. Coco and Rucksack enjoyed exploring the new terrain we covered as they ran and sniffed around well off either side of the trail. On the way back, the...

The Adventure Pack
Coco followed Mogul around on today's hike when they were off-leash together and Fletcher and Rucksack were on-leash. Fletcher and Rucksack both pulled quite a bit at first (especially Fletcher) but they settled down after a little while and walked by my side. When they switched places with Coco and Mogul, Rucksack followed Fletcher around - going where he went, sniffing what he sniffed. We went up the path to the Third Flatiron at Chautauwua ...

The Adventure Pack
Coco was the first to pick out a stick today and she teased Rucksack into chasing her around for it. They also played a game where Coco goes up ahead on the trail a little bit then hunches down, and Rucksack pauses and they stare at one another until he drops into a play-bow and then tries to run past her while she tries to keep him from getting by. Wesley was a good boy today. We came across several other dogs on the trails and he didn't grow...

The Adventure Pack
Mogul wandered off the trail a lot today to explore the brush and Coco and Rucksack followed behind him to see what smelled so interesting, but none of them seemed to find anything noteworthy. Rucksack and Coco were again disinterested in carrying sticks.
The Play Pack
Coco found a spot in the dirt at the park that got her interest and she dug at it for a little while until she got to a root thread. It was thin, l...

The Adventure Pack
Rucksack was really interested in Toskey on today's hike. She was ignoring him and just sniffing around and exploring at first, but he kept running up alingside her and nudging her face with his nose until she ran with him. When it was time for a water break, Wesley was the first to sit down and look at me expectantly, although everyone else soon followed suit. Rucksack found a stick to carry today. When he eventually dropped it, Coco an...

The Adventure Pack
Coco and Rucksack ran side-by-side up and down the trail and through the brush. Today was again surprising lacking in stick-carrying. At one point, I noticed Rucksack grab up a big chunk of bark; but he apparently decided it wasn't worth it and dropped it only about 10 feet later, leaving it behind. I didn't see Coco go for a single stick - she didn't even try to steal Rucksack's piece of bark!
