Milo, Rucksack, and Roger Roger trotted along the Boulder Creek Path, enjoying a slightly cooler day today.  Everyone was still happy to hop in the creek, though, and also to have a drink from the CamelBak.

Today's walk along the creek was pleasant.  Rucksack, Roger Roger, and Milo all enjoyed a dip at the outset and again along the last stretch of the walk.  Milo's stomach was a bit upset in the beginning and he spit up some yellow-green foam, so we took an easy pace.

We met a cute, 4-and-a-half-month-old Husky puppy on our walk this morning.  He was very excited to see Thompson, who was only mildly interested in return.  Rucksack and Roger Roger, on the other hand, were thrilled to meet a new friend and eventually started dropping into play-bows and hopping around.  Meanwhile, Milo sniffed out the pup to his satisfaction and then hun out next to Thompson until we moved on.

Milo, Rucksack, and Roger Roger trotted along Boulder Creek with me in the rain this morning.  By walking the Boulder Creek path, we avoided the mud on the trails and managed to stay a bit drier under the cover of trees along the creek.

Rucksack and Roger Roger were back to join Milo on our morning hike.  They all enjoyed our pit stops at the stream on the ways up and back.  Milo seems to be acclimating to the steeper hike up the Anemone trail, and didn't lag behind as much today despite a farily quick pace.  Roger Roger and Rucksack had energy to spare.

Milo, Stella, and Ruffers all enjoyed hiking up the Anemone trail today.  After a brief stop at the stream, we made our way up the mountain on pretty good time.  When we crossed the stream again on our way down, we lingered a bit longer.  After laying in the water for a bit, Stella hopped out and rolled around in the dirt.  Thankfully, Ruffers and Milo didn't share in their packmate's impulse and stayed relatively clean after hopping out of the ...

We met a playful black Lab while we were hanging out at the stream at the outset of our hike today.  He and Milo had some fun splashing around together.  Ruffers barked at him as he approached and was a bit too worked up so we used the opportunity to practice staying calm as I had her sit with me.

Thompson lingered way behind to stay in the cool stream today after Milo, Ruffers, and I started heading up the trail.  Eventually, he made his way up to us after lots of coaxing; however, once we got moving again he did alright.  Ruffers walked on the leash at my side on the rest of our way up the hill while Thompson and Milo both followed off the leash, and the two old guys managed to keep up just fine.

Milo and Ruffers enjoyed a stop at the stream just like yesterday, except that Milo was a little less animated today.  Ruffers still jumped around him when he leapt out of the water to continue up the trail, though, and then they caught up and we had a nice hike.

Milo and Ruffers enjoyed a dip in the stream at Settler's Park, which is running with water again!  After lingering a while, Milo was still hesitant to leave, but when he made the decision to follow me up the trail he bounded through the water and up onto the bank with enthusiasm, Ruffers chasing playfully at his side.  They were both very happy to have the opportunity to splash around.
