Adventure Pack

Milo, Benny, and Isaac enjoyed walking the trail today.  They all took a long break to hang out in the stream.  Benny and Milo stood while Isaac lay down and rolled around from side to side to get a good soaking.  A little girl on the trail was very excited to see the pack and giggled at Benny when he slowly ambled over and sniffed in her general direction.

Play Pack

Isaac played lots of fetch at the park today....

Adventure Pack

Oliver and Benny explored with each other today while Rucksack and Roger Roger hiked on-leash at my side.  Nobody cared to linger in the creek for very long since it was relatively cool out.  It sprinkled on us a little bit toward the end of our hike, but it wasn't much and the dogs didn't mind it.

Sputnik was very happy to greet Ruby, who joined us for today's outing.  Ruby is a medium-sized dog with red...

Adventure Pack

Milo was admired for his unique coat today by some workers on the the trails. Rucksack and Roger Roger trotted along happily.  It was nice to have the cloud cover today so it wasn't such a hot hike.

Play Pack

Mamacita and Ruffers started off today's park visit by running and dodging around with Sputnik.  Later on, Benny and Ruffers befriended a pair of Golden Retrievers and enjoyed playfully hopping and bowing with them...

Adventure Pack

Oliver had no trouble find his way across the stream today, since the water level is still lower and he worked his route out last time.  Rucksack got a twig caught in the fur around his face and Roger Roger plucked it out thinking it was a stick that Rucksack was intentional flaunting in front of him.  It fell apart pretty quickly in Roger Roger's jaws and was soon left behind.  Benny trotted his way along the trail easily, as did Rucksack; both of w...

Adventure Pack

Milo was a little more willing to leave the creek and catch up with the pack today.  I think after hiking there last week, he knows that the creek is never that far, so he was happy to come and go from the water as we hiked.  Benny splashed through the creek when we passed it and lingered for a moment, but mostly stuck close to me.  Rucksack found a stick that was to his liking at the turning point in our hike and carried it about halfway back. ...

Adventure Pack

It was cool enough today that Milo was able to enjoy exploring in the brush off the side of the trail opposite the stream, rather than wading through it the whole way.   Benny joined Milo to sniff around and explore.  When the two of them returned to go back on leash, Roger Roger sniffed at each of their faces for a minute to see what they had gotten their noses into.  Then, Roger Roger decided Benny was in need of some ear chewing, and he happi...

Adventure Pack

Benny started hiking again today after injuring his leg last week and did a great job keeping up without any sign of a limp.  The stream was running slightly lower today so Oliver had less trouble making crossings.  Roger Roger was startled to see three kids come around the bend in a section of trail that was dense with foliage, and reared back and barked.  He immediately looked to me when I said his name and then he went back on the leash.  Mil...

Adventure Pack

Thompson and Milo both spent as much time in the stream by the trail as possible.  Even when it diverged from the path, they wandered down it a while before taking a shortcut to meet back up with me and Roger Roger.

Play Pack

Ruffers and Sputnik got their paws wet in the pond at CU South today.  Mamacita preferred to stay dry.  Sputnik growled at a Golden Retriever who came over to us and I quickly pulled him aside and ...

Adventure Pack

Roger Roger, Milo, and Oliver had another hike much like yesterdays, sans the tripping girl.  Milo spent as much of the hike wading through the stream as he could.  Oliver took his time negotiating stream crossings.  While Oliver stood on a rock uncertain about his next move, Roger Roger splashed in the stream immediately next to him.  It's tough being tiny.

Thompson and Isaac both thoroughly enjoyed soak...

Adventure Pack

Milo and Roger Roger had a lot of fun splashing in the stream at the Gregory Canyon trailhead as we headed up Saddle Rock today.  Well, Roger Roger did most of the splashing while Milo waded through the water.  The crossing at one point was a bit treacherous and Oliver took his time figuring out the best stepping-stone path.  As we headed up Saddle Rock, a girl coming down slipped a bit just as we passed her.  It startled Roger Roger, who immedi...
