Adventure Pack
Rucksack and Sputnik splashed through the creek today. Benny waded out into the water but with much more tempered excitement than his packmates. Oliver stuck to the very edge of the water and only dipped his front paws in. Sputnik wandered off a bit far when I let him off leash today so he went back on the leash to reinforce sticking together. Rucksack sniffed some flowers and then had a sneezing fit of about a dozen sneezes. I began t...

Adventure Pack
Milo and Rucksack bounded through the creek that passes through the Red Rocks trail. After they had a good romp, I let Benny and Coco have a turn and they enjoyed themselves in similar fashion. Afterwards, Milo and Rucksack stayed pretty damp for the rest of the hike. Benny and Coco - with their shorter, less fluffy coats - dried off pretty quickly.

Adventure Pack
Yoda joined Osito and Milo on this morning's hike up the Anemone and Red Rocks trails. Yoda was lagging behind a bit at the beginning while Osito was pressing on ahead and Milo was walking right along with me. Everyone took a dip in the creek when we passed by it. On our way back down, Yoda kept pace and Osito was looking for any opportunity to take a break in the shade.

Coco, Rucksack, and Osito hiked the Anemone trail today. We made a stop at the creek on our way up and everybody cooled off in the water. Coco made the most of it by lying right down in the creek while her packmates just walked around in it. Everyone was pulling more than usual at the beginning of the hike but by the end they all settled down.

Sputnik had fun sprinting around the creek by the Red Rocks trails as Milo waded through it. Rucksack was on leash and stepped in to get his legs wet, as well. Sputnik was full of energy throughout the hike. He nudged and bumped Milo playfully and got his packmate to play with him a bit until Milo had enough and started grumbling at Sputnik. Later on, Rucksack and Sputnik ran up and down the open trail together.

Adventure Pack
Mia and Milo both splashed around in the stream by the trailhead for a bit before making the hike up the mountain. Milo hung back a bit on the way up and Mia kept stopping to turn back and watch her packmate, so I called Milo up and had him lead the way. With Milo a step ahead of us, Mia was better about walking along without being so distracted.

Adventure Pack
Mia started off today's hike with a lot of excitement and a lot of pulling. Everyone had a good dip in the stream as we set out. After a little time, Mia settled into hiking at my side along with Oscar. Rucksack led the way up the trail as Milo brought up the rear. On our way down, Milo was right with Mia and Oscar at my side and Rucksack was the one lingering behind to check things out.

Adventure Pack
Sputnik and Rucksack decided to share a stick today rather than play keep-away. Rucksack carried it a short while then set it down; Sputnik snatched it up and carried a bit further, then set it down for Rucksack to take again. They passed it off between each other a few times as we made our way up the mountain. Mama and Oscar had a good time hiking. Oscar was raring to go at first, though he settled into a rhythm that was more in tune with t...

Adventure Pack
We took a really easy pace today due to the heat. We lingered for a long while by the stream at the trailhead while Sage lied down in the running water and Milo, Osito, and Rucksack all got their paws wet. I was surprised that Osito led the way on our hike up - less surprised that he was the furthest back on our return trip down. Milo is still not used to the Camelbak but I held it right to his mouth and got him to drink some. Rucksack didn'...

Adventure Pack
Rucksack and Sputnik kept each other well entertained during today's hike. They started off splashing through the creek side-by-side. Later on, Sputnik found a small stick and played keep-away from Rucksack. Rucksack chased him all over, occasionally giving a high-pitched bark as his young packmate got ahead of him as if to say, "Wait for me!"
