Coco and Ruffers had fun chasing each other up and down the trail and through the brush while Mamacita and Sputnik made playful moves whenever their packmates passed close by.

Thompson, Stella, and Coco made good time on our afternoon walk along the Bear Creek Path.  We made it further east along the path than the pack has in a while before it was time to turn around and head back.

Sputnik and Coco have been handling themselves much better with passing dogs on the trails.  Thompson and Mamacita were no problem at all.  Everyone except Mamacita enjoyed a water break midway through our hike this cooler morning.  It seems like Mamacita needs to really be panting before she gives any consideration to drinking from the CamelBak spout.

We had a pleasant hike up the Chautauqua and Mesa Trails this morning.  Sputnik, Coco, and Mamacita trotted along together nicely and were friendly with all the dogs we passed along the way.

Sputnik, Coco, Ruffers, and Mamacita enjoyed hiking at the Chautauqua together this beautiful morning.  Coco and Sputnik had one unfriendly outburst again toward a passing dog early on in our walk.  I had brought the pack off the side of the trail in case of that and then I had Coco and Sputnik sit and chill out for a minute afterward.  They stayed calm through several other passings later in the hike.  Ruffers was more comfortable drinking from...

Coco and Sputnik stayed cool through several passings with other dogs on the trail again today, including one dog who was exuberantly jumping up and down with enthusiasm to greet the pack - though we kept some distance from that one so as not to push our luck.  Ruffers and Mamacita were both interested in greeting that dog and Mamacita whimpered a bit with disappoinment when we passed without saying hello, but I think it was for the best.  The cool, overc...

I took time to have the pack sit a little way from the trail when I saw a couple dogs approaching at the outset of our hike this morning.  By using drinking water from the Camelbak as a distraction/reward to keep Sputnik and Coco from reacting like they did yesterday, I managed to keep them calm as the other dogs passed.  Mamacita wasn't interested in a drink but she was perfectly content to hang out and let the other dogs pass.
