The Adventure Pack
Wesley's stomach wasn't doing great today as he vomited about 25 minutes into the hike. We took it very easy the rest of the time so Benny, Rucksack, and Mama got to practice walking calmly and patiently as a group. Wesley didn't have any more issues for the rest of the time and seemed ok.
The Play Pack
Benny and Milo wrestled around a bit at the park. Oscar enjoyed fetching a rope toy and then flaunted it in Ben...

The Adventure Pack
Rucksack has been finding sticks about 2 - 2 1/2 feet long lately to carry on the trails. He foud another today and hauled it for most of the hike. Benny gnawed on the end of it every once in a while. I wonder how Oliver feels about his packmate carrying a stick that's about 3 times his size.
The Play Pack
Mama and Benny ran and dodged around with each other when we first got to the park, and Oscar and Milo both ...

The Adventure Pack
The rain held off for our hike this morning up the the 1st Flatiron. Sage and Rucksack wrestled around playfully for a bit and then Rucksack found a stick with which to occupy himself. Wesley stuck by my side and followed right at my heel for the entire hike. Sage wandered around a bit to explore the smells brought out by the rain.
The Play Pack
Oscar found a playmate in a yellow Lab and the two of them had a cou...

The Adventure Pack
Benny lagged at the start of today's hike again, but when he and Rucksack went off-leash together he had plenty of energy to run with his packmate. Rucksack found a big stick to haul and Benny occasionally gnawed on the end of it but didn't try to steal it away. Oliver appreciated the lack of chest-high snow to wade through. A passing hiker commented, "I didn't know Yorkies were a mountain dog!"
The Play Pack

The Adventure Pack
Osito has really fallen into place with the pack and has been getting better and better at heeding me. I think we'll be able to try letting him off the leash next week. Rucksack and Benny both stuck close by. No sticks for Rucksack today. Benny lagged behind a bit but he didn't stubbornly stop altogether while on the leash as he has sometimes done in the past.
The Play Pack
Mia kept busy throughout our park...

The Adventure Pack
Wesley grumbled at a passing Boxer early on during today's hike, though he was perfectly friendly with every other dog we passed afterward. He and Benny both stuck close by for the entire hike while Rucksack took the opportunity to stretch his legs by bounding through the snow. Later on, Rucksack tried out a couple different sticks but didn't carry them for long.
The Play Pack
Milo, Mia, and Oscar all chased down tenni...

The Adventure Pack
Rucksack found a small stick to carry for most of today's hike. Oliver stepped carefully through the snowy/slushy mix that covered the trails. Benny and Sputnik were both pulling on the leash quite a bit today so we worked on that throughout our hike.
The Play Pack
Mama was less playful than usual when we got to the park today, perhaps because her packmate Coco wasn't with us and Coco usually gets her going. Afte...

The Adventure Pack
The pups had a blast on the snowy trails today. Sage and Coco bounded through the snow chasing each other. Later on, Wesley rolled in the snow as Rucksack wandered around off the trail. The trails were nearly empty and there was a lot of untouched snow to explore.
The Play Pack
The park was nearly empty today but the few dogs who were there were all very playful. Oscar, Sputnik, Milo, and Benny all ran and ...

The Adventure Pack
Oliver and Benny explored the trail together side-by-side and toward the end of the hike Benny had a burst of playful energy as he sprinted up and down the trail with a small stick. Oliver followed Benny excitedly for a brief burst and then lost interest and went back to sniffing around. Sputnik was intrigued by Benny's find and then grabbed up a different stick of his own so as not to feel left out. Rucksack was surprisingly disinterested in ...

The Adventure Pack
We came across Benny's Ridgeback friends on the trails again today and Benny was very excited to say hello. Everybody had a good sniff and milled around, getting acquainted, for a few minutes before we headed on our separate ways. Osito is getting better and better at sitting when asked rather than stubbornly ignoring me. He was wary of the water that came from the Camelbak spout but when I got it right in his mouth and he realized what it was...
